ABOUT COLE

Cole Lindbergh is a one-of-a-kind, jack-of-all-trades, who spent over a decade of his life perfecting his skills as a leader, motivator, and operations manager in the amusement park industry.

At the age of 21, he accepted a full-time position as the Games Manager at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Missouri, and pushed himself to create a fun and exciting atmosphere for his employees working in a seasonal capacity. As a Games Manager, Cole oversaw the daily operation of the park’s midway games, along with several duties including hiring, training, purchasing, overall sales, and daily motivation.

Cole became nationally recognized in the summer of 2011, after he was featured on the nationally-syndicated radio program This American Life with Ira Glass. The 32 minute piece showcased Cole’s style of leadership and management, while focusing on the major principles Cole felt were important in creating a fun and exciting atmosphere for his employees.

Following the piece, Cole began to receive praise on various websites/blogs, was named “Kansas City’s Best Boss” by local Kansas City publication Pitch Weekly and began giving speaking engagements for many companies and universities including The Internet Archive, Sprint, REI, Talent Plus, Six Flags, Northern Arizona University, and Northeastern University.

Cole currently works as a Sales Enablement Manager with ChowNow and is available to give speeches to college and universities about leadership and management. His current speech is titled “A Disquisition For Future Leaders” and includes stories from his time working at the amusement park and beyond.
